Back in Iloilo

I arrived here at my home province Iloilo last Thursday. It has mostly just been a nonstop eating parade since, with lots of fish, fruits, and vegetables being served. When we are not eating, we either watch movies, or run errands, such as getting me another pair of eye glasses, having digital photos printed, and getting groceries for other dishes. I have also been reading books from time to time. My sister Thessa, who arrived from Metro Manila only a day before I did, and I have not been meeting with friends and relatives much yet, but as the five-day celebration of the Holy Week is nearing, I am guessing that we will soon be.

One of the things that I am looking forward to doing during the break is fishing for the very first time. Fishing is something that I have always been planning to do, but has never actually happened. This time, however, it will push through. I already have with me my dad’s fishing rod, which is already a couple of decades old but is still in a very good condition, and I have already gotten new hooks and nylon string. I am looking into fishing somewhere along the coastal areas of the province that is far from the city, but it might be a bit too much since I will have to ask someone who might not be interested in fishing (because I do not know anybody else here who is interested in the sport) to accompany me.

And wow, look, I found a map of Iloilo online! I never knew that the province is this big. Or rather, that the city is only a very small part of the province.
